UCAS course code lookup

Every undergraduate course applied for through UCAS has its own course code. Search 0 courses from 0 providers below, by UCAS course code, course name, university or UKPRN.

Codes exist for undergraduate courses only; postgraduate courses apply direct to the university or through UCAS Postgraduate. Codes on this page are reproduced as published in official course data. Always confirm the course, code and entry year on ucas.com before you apply. This site is independent and is not affiliated with UCAS.

Check the code carefully: UCAS course codes are short alphanumeric codes. Postgraduate courses have no UCAS course code, so search by course name or university instead.

What a UCAS course code tells you

When you apply for an undergraduate degree through UCAS you choose up to five courses, and each one is identified by a course code together with the university's own UCAS institution code. The code picks out one specific course, and one entry route, at one provider. The UKPRN (UK Provider Reference Number) shown alongside is an eight-digit number that identifies the provider itself in official UK data.

Undergraduate courses only

  • The course data this site is built on (Discover Uni, published by the Office for Students and its partners) records a UCAS course ID for undergraduate courses only.
  • Most postgraduate courses are applied for directly with the university, or through UCAS Postgraduate, so they carry no code here.
  • The same degree can appear under more than one code, for example with and without a placement year or a foundation year, so check the exact variant you want.

Why you should check it on UCAS before you apply

  • Course codes and entry years change; a code that was right last cycle may have been withdrawn or replaced.
  • UCAS deadlines are fixed: 31 January for the main undergraduate round, and 14 October for Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses.
  • If you need a Student visa you will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a licensed student sponsor, so also check the university holds that licence.

Where these codes come from

Every code on this page is taken from official Discover Uni course data and reproduced exactly as published; we do not derive, reformat or guess codes. UCAS is the authority, not this page, so confirm the current entry at ucas.com.
